Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Versus: AI Comparison Table ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Service Description

Versus: AI Comparison Table is a Shopify application that lets you build “Us vs Them” comparison tables to handle buyer objections on product and landing pages. The App provides:

• Comparison table creation and management tools
• AI-generated "find the differences" copy with manual overrides
• Responsive layouts: table on desktop, cards/stack on mobile
• Theme integration via App Blocks (Theme 2.0)
• Performance analytics (views, clicks, CTR)

Subscription Plans

The App offers Free (manual tables) and paid plans. Shopify hosts all billing and checkout for this app. Pro or higher plans unlock AI features and advanced placements.

Subscription fees are billed monthly through Shopify. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation or trial expiry, AI and paid features will be disabled but your tables remain accessible in read-only mode until removal.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Only provide text/data you own or have rights to use
• Not input illegal, offensive, or copyrighted content without permission
• Comply with Shopify's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or abuse the App
• Keep your Shopify store credentials secure

Content Ownership and Rights

You retain full ownership of all media files and content you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store your comparison data/text in our database (Cloudflare D1)
• Display your comparison tables on your Shopify storefront
• Process AI text generation to assist you

This license terminates when you delete the content or uninstall the App.

Storage Limits and Data Guidelines

Data usage is subject to reasonable limits to protect service quality:

• AI requests are limited by plan quota (e.g., Pro 200, Plus 500 per month)
• We may rate-limit abusive or automated traffic
• Large or abusive data may be removed to protect service

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines or our policies.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service with 99.9% uptime. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may experience downtime for:

• Scheduled maintenance and updates
• Infrastructure issues beyond our control
• Security incidents or attacks

We will provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance when possible.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Loss of revenue, sales, or business opportunities
• Data loss or corruption (we recommend maintaining backups)
• Third-party service failures (Shopify, Cloudflare, etc.)
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described in the Privacy Policy, including comparison table configuration, AI-generated text, and performance statistics.

Termination and Data Deletion

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. Upon uninstallation:

• All your comparison tables and configuration data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Performance statistics and analytics data will be deleted
• Your subscription will be cancelled automatically

We reserve the right to terminate your access if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in fraudulent activity.

Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for Pro Plan subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with the Pro Plan features, contact us within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund.

Refunds are not available for:

• Renewals after the first billing cycle
• Violation of Terms of Service
• Change of mind after the 7-day period

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App's code
• Use our branding or trademarks without permission
• Create derivative works based on the App

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
